Crypto Market Experts Say Dogecoin ETF Comes As Meme Coins Gain Ground
Two prominent experts of the crypto market shed light on the future meme coins in this market cycle, predicting the possible introduction of a Dogecoin Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) soon.
Crypto Heavyweights Affirm Dogecoin ETF Is Coming
Founder of BitMEX, Arthur Hayes and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and founder of Real Vision, Raoul Pal appeared recently YouTube podcast on Coin Bureau, sharing insights about the potential of the Dogecoin ETF as meme coins continue to gain market power.
When asked what meme coins he was looking at in his portfolio, Hayes asserted that. Dogecoin may get an ETF at the end of the cycle. He based his predictions on the huge growth rate of the doggy-themed meme coin over the years, highlighting Dogecoin’s status as the oldest meme coin in the crypto space, giving it an edge over other meme-based cryptocurrencies.
In addition, Hayes also noted that Dogecoin is important market capitalization which has increased to $19.7 billion. The meme coin currently holds the top position as the world’s largest meme-based cryptocurrency by market capitalization, according to CoinMarketCap.
Additionally, Dogecoin’s cultural impact on the crypto space and the investment industry in general has been profound. The popular meme coin has also cultivated its strong community to hold millions of supporters and investors.
Echoing Hayes’ sentiments, Pal agreed with the BitMEX founder in his prediction for the Dogecoin ETF at the end of the market cycle. He expressed his strong advocacy for the Dogecoin ETF, having discussed the possibilities with Jan van Eck, VanEck CEOinvestment management company and Provider of Spot Bitcoin ETFs.
When asked if a potential Dogecoin ETF could change demand Spot Ethereum ETF share price, the Real Vision CEO praised Dogecoin’s consistent performance against Bitcoin throughout the bull cycle, cementing its status as a major player in the crypto space. He also revealed that he tried to persuade VanEck’s CEO to include the Dogecoin ETF, emphasizing his active efforts behind the scenes to make this happen.
Meme Coins With Strongest Stories This Cycle
As Meme coins continue to gain ground in the crypto space, it’s no surprise that many are speculating about which coin will be the next big hit. In the interview, Hayes and Pal shared details about the meme coins they believe they will have the strongest news in the crypto market.
Pal revealed that he invested in popular cryptocurrencies such as Dogecoin, however, he was 90% long. Solana (SOL). On the other hand, Hayes revealed a diversified meme coin portfolio, highlighting investments in prominent coins such as Bonk (BONK), Dogwifhat (WIF), and Dogecoin. He outlined his investment strategy for 2024, advising: “Go long, don’t sell, don’t be volatile, and don’t use too much energy.”
