Nelly Korda comprising Team USA, along with Lilia Vu, Rose Zhang

World No. 1 Nelly Korda will lead the US women’s golf team at the Olympic Games this summer in Paris.

USA Golf announced Tuesday that Lilia Vu and Rose Zhang will complete the roster.

Korda is the defending gold medalist at the Tokyo Games, while Vu and Zhang will make their Olympic debuts.

“I feel honored to once again represent America in the Olympic category this summer in Paris,” said Korda. “Winning the gold medal in Tokyo was a dream come true and an incredible highlight in my career. I look forward to defending my gold medal and bringing more services to Team USA.”

Korda, Vu (World No. 2) and Zhang (No. 9) qualified for Team USA based on their standings in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings at the end of the Olympic qualifying period. It ended with last weekend’s KPGA Women’s PGA Championship, where Vu finished second.

“These three women enter the Olympic golf tournament with a combined eight victories on the LPGA Tour this season and are poised to reach the podium in Paris,” said USA Golf director Andy Levinson.

The women’s golf tournament is scheduled for Aug. 7-10 at Le Golf National outside Paris. A field of 60 players will participate in a 72-hole, stroke-play format.

The men’s tournament starts on Aug. 1-4 in the same position, there are Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Wyndham Clark and Collin Morikawa making up the American squad.
