A Russian attack on a city in southeastern Ukraine killed seven, officials said. By Reuters

(Reuters) – Russian troops on Saturday attacked the city of Vilniansk, outside the southeastern Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia, killing seven people, including two children, and wounding at least 10, the regional governor said.

“Today the enemy has committed another horrific terrorist act against the people,” said Zaporizhzhia Governor Ivan Fedorov in a video posted on the Telegram messaging service.

The attack took place “in the middle of the day, on a non-working day, in the center of the city, when people were relaxing, when no soldiers were targeted,” Fedorov said.

He further said that the infrastructure, shop and residential buildings were damaged in this incident.
