Easy Chunky Salsa – Sharon Palmer, Plant-Powered Nutritionist

Did you know you can whip up the best homemade salsa recipe ever in 10 minutes with only 7 ingredients? Yes, this Easy Chunky Salsa is based on seasonal produce that you can easily find in your garden, farmers market, and supermarket. Simply chop the ingredients, mix together and serve with your favorite foods, such as tacos, chips, and whole grain crackers. Or use it as an ingredient in nachos or tamale pie. This classic recipe, which is vegan and gluten-free, is customizable, too. Switch to heirloom tomatoes to give it a different color. Use more or less jalapeno pepper to give it a different level of spice. Also try lime juice instead of lemon juice for a different flavor twist. Most importantly: Just try! You’ll want to make this homemade salsa over and over again, it’s so easy and so good.

Here are a few questions people ask about making homemade salsa.

How long does homemade salsa last?

If you keep it in an airtight container and put it in the fridge, you can get about 5 days from this recipe. But use it quickly, as it is always best enjoyed on the first day.

Can you freeze homemade salsa?

You can freeze it in an airtight container, but the quality will decrease slightly. Fresh tomatoes and vegetables will release a lot of water, so the texture will not be good.

These are the ingredients for this Easy Chunky Salsa recipe.
