Zenless Zone Zero Ellen Build
Ellen is the first agent added as a Banner when version 1.0 of the game was released. Because of this, she was very strong when released and continues to be one of the top DPS agents. This, coupled with the fact that many early battles are weak against Ice or have Ice Shields, makes her a must pick.
Basic Stats at level 60
After you level Ellen to 60, she will have the following basic stats:
- PEN Ratio – 0%
- Impact – 93
- Anomaly Mastery- 94
- Energy Regeneration – 1.2
Skills
- Basic Attack: Ellen slashes 3 times, dealing significant Ice damage.
- Special Attack: Tail Sweep that deals Ice damage, with enough energy, you can follow it up for even more damage.
- Chain Attack: Performs an AOE Ice Damage attack
- Main Skill: Large AOE Ice Damage attack that catches many enemies
Best W-Engines
Deep Sea Visitor: Overall, this is the best Build for Ellen. It can be considered the best period for all Ice Damage agents. Providing 24% Crit, and 25% Ice Damage with an additional 10% more crit after attacking enemies with basic attacks for 8 seconds. This is increased by 10% again when attacking with Ice Damage.
The Brimstone: A solid choice for standard DPS, this is the best W-Engine for Soldier 11, but can also be useful for Ellen. While it doesn’t have the burst damage potential like Deep Sea Visitor, it has a solid overall damage profile.
Starlight Engine: A solid choice for free-to-play, providing a 25% damage increase. Not as good as the two options above, but much easier to obtain and level up.
Best Disk Drive Sets
Electro Puffer: Although the Gold version is clearly the best, any Woodpecker Electro version should be your choice. Focus only on this in the music store and try to get all Gold. It should be fairly easy to get the 4-set bonus, then get 2 sets of Electro Puffer or Polar Metal.
Best Ellen Team Comps
Comp 1 – All Out
This is the best composition you can use. This composition is not very F2P friendly, but if you just want the best composition you can use, then this is the right composition.
Ellen and Lycaon work very well together as they both have amazing Special Attacks. Lycaon also has 25% Ice Resistance, which, as you can imagine, makes him incredible with Ellen who is the best Ice Damage dealer.
As for Soukaku, he is the best support for Ellen. Providing a number of buffs to Ellen’s Ice Damage, then giving her a full attack bonus of 1000 through Chain Attack or Quick Assist. He also gives extra Ice Damage, helping Ellen destroy enemies.
Comp 2 – Free-to-Play
Anby and Koleda are the two best free Stun options to play, so if you can’t get Lycaon then this is a good backup option.
As for Soukaku, he is the best support for Ellen. Providing a number of buffs to Ellen’s Ice Damage, then giving her a full attack bonus of 1000 through Chain Attack or Quick Assist. He also gives extra Ice Damage, helping Ellen destroy enemies.

Ellen is an incredible first Banner Agent, and given the easier access to early pulls, everyone should try to get at least two copies if they can. It is very possible that her “OP” status will decrease over time, as often happens in Gacha titles. However, Ellen is strong right now, and likely won’t drop off as much.
