Lou Al-Chamaa named EVP of A&R at Spirit Music Group

Spirit Music Group has announced the appointment of A&R veteran Lou Al-Chamaa to the position of Senior Vice President of A&R.

In his new role, Al-Chamaa will be responsible for signing and developing artists, songwriters, and producers for Spirit Music Group. Based in the company’s Los Angeles office, you will report directly to Frank RogersChief Creative Officer of Spirit Music Group.

Prior to joining Spirit Music Group, Al-Chamaa served as Senior Vice President, Head of A&R, Publishing at AVEX USAwhere he participated in the reorganization of the company’s A&R and creative division.

His time at AVEX signed important players, including afro beats star Victoryhit songwriters/producers like Jasper Harris (Tate McRae Greed), and GENT! (producer of Doja Cat’s No.1 hit Agora Hills). He also established an important partnership with Ryan Tedder‘s Runner’s music publishing.

Prior to his role at AVEX USA, Al-Chamaa spent six years at AveX Sony Music Publishing as Vice President of A&R. While there, he signed and worked with similar clients Mike Posner, Lucky Daye, Daniel Caesar, Khalid, Louis Bell, Tori Kelly, again Lindgren (BTS). He was also A&R for Noah Cyrus during his time July / The End of Everything EP, which was successful 1.2 billion music label distribution RECORDS/Columbia.
