Fortnite is grinding towards its summer break right now. This is when Epic leaves the game with scheduled updates and takes a well-deserved break. They always leave us with a few distractions for now. Launching the game today, you’ll find a new Fortnite ghost is one of those things.
Ironically, Epic’s latest update added the Wanderer Fortnite NPC. This ghost in Fortnite is a strange place on the map. He’s a key figure this season if you’re trying to keep up with that in Fortnite. More importantly, it may throw you off your game if you are easily distracted.
Only seeing an NPC from afar may lead you on a wild goose chase throughout the game. It’s not good if you’re trying to win this round of Fortnite. If you want to track down the Wanderer Fortnite NPC, here’s how he works.
Who is the Wanderer in Fortnite?
The Wanderer is a Fortnite Ghost players may have seen on the map. He is a ghostly character who comes to the island at the moment.
Physically, he resembles tall Fortnite NPC models. With a gray coat covering his face and body. It’s a little hard to get a good look at him, which is the design.
He is always surrounded by gray smoke. This prevents a small view of the character. It is not easy to make a face or many details about a character.

- Volcano Gallery Southwest of Mount Olympus, in the Desert biome.
- The train follows the South of Drained Lake
- Gas Stations North of Drained Lake
- HQ at the train station, South of the Lavish Lair
- The mountain in the Northeast of the map
However, you can’t just be full of hope, you expect to see him in every game. The Wanderer Fortnite NPC has some annoying rules about how he can be spotted. Get too close to him and he’s actually rude.
The best look you can get from a ghost in Fortnite is by looking at him from a high place. You will have to keep a safe distance and check on him.

Why Is There A Fortnite Ghost On The Map?

The Wanderer seems to be somehow connected to whatever is happening with Megalo Don and the rest of the Boss characters. In Chapter 5 so far, these plans have led to live events at the end of the season.
It will probably be the ghost of Wanderer Fortnite the beginning of something that will take us all Chapter 5 Season 3. A tease of what’s to come and the rest of the summer.
