US Treasuries Sell $44B in 7-Year Treasuries at Low Yields as Bond Demand Grows Investing.com
Investing.com — The U.S. government sold $44 billion of 7-year Treasuries on Thursday at a lower-than-expected yield as demand for U.S. government bonds continued to grow.
The notes were priced at 4.276%, just below the pre-sale, anytime-release, rate of 4.279%, but below the 4.650% high seen in the previous auction.
In a sign of strong demand, the auction’s average cover bid jumped to 2.58 from 2.43 seen in the previous auction.
International demand led bidding, with indirect buyers at 69.65% of auctions, above the average of 64.90%.
The yield on the yield fell to 4.282%, after trading at the day’s high of about 4.35%.
