A new mode is coming, but when does Fortnite Reload release and can we go back to that Chapter 1 map?
It’s no secret that Fortnite OG has been the recent peak of Battle Royale in terms of popularity, and we’ve all been eagerly awaiting its return. Especially since Battle Royale saw such major changes to its core gameplay in Chapter 5 Season 3. The OG version is about to return though.
In a surprise drop, Epic has announced a brand new mode. Suddenly again, there is still a day left between the announcement and the release date of Fortnite Reload! What is the new mode though?
Why is it dropping suddenly, when can we expect Fortnite Reload release time? There are a lot of questions so far and few answers. What can we expect?
When does Fortnite reload?
This week, Epic just dropped a big surprise on players. Reload Fortnite.
We don’t know exactly everything about how it will work, but we do know one thing: The Fortnite reloaded release date.
The game is currently scheduled to air on Saturday, June 22. This is the date it is scheduled to be pushed back.
It’s a weird decision though. Epic rarely does updates on Saturdays. It’s usually on Tuesdays, even Thursdays when they arrive later. No one complains about having extra days to jump into a new mode.
However, this new mod is coming this weekend. It’s like the last two major game modes added over the weekend. The exact time is a bit of a mystery right now, but generally, updates come on a certain schedule. Fortnite servers are constantly having downtime at the same time, with updates going down once they’re open.
It’s Fortnite re-release time
- 4 AM PT
- 6 AM CT
- 7 AM EDT
- 12 PM BST
- 1 PM CET
This is where the update is expected. Sometimes the downtime can be a bit long. So don’t panic too much if there is a delay. That’s the scheduled time for when Fortnite Reload releases anyway.
Fortnite re-release date
That’s the time, but Fortnite Reload’s release date is scheduled for Saturday, June 22. It will be fully launched in the game once the patch is fully installed and downloaded.
Sometimes with big releases, Epic’s servers get overloaded. We might see a line to get in and play, but the title should be available by this date if you can’t wait for the little crowd!
What is Fortnite Reload?
Fortnite Loaded is a brand new mod from Epic, but what exactly is it? The tease so far makes a few things clear. The first is that it comes down to Fortnite OG.
The return from Chapter 1 of the game was very popular. This year we get Chapter 2 instead, but the original map will be making a comeback of sorts here during the release of Fortnite Reload. Epic has made it clear that parts of the original map used to reload Fortnite.
The general consensus seems to be that this will be a Mini-Royale version. Similar to a Resume in Calling a Job.
It will probably be based on a few POIs, with restarts happening mid-game until the final round. Faster games, more action, less grinding, and less player count. It’s a nice change of pace from regular Fortnite.
This type of mod is also suitable for those who miss the more focused parts of Fortnite. The current season is terrible for this, there are cars everywhere. Which makes it the perfect time to drop the Fortnite Reload release.
We don’t know exactly how Fortnite Reload will work until we get to the actual release time. It looks like a promising addition to the title though.
